WOMEN's SELF DEFENSE
Free clinics. Real skills. Stronger communities.
At Jiu Jitsu 101 Oregon Coast, we believe that safe communities start with education and prevention. That’s why we offer free women’s self-defense clinics—open to all women and girls ages 11 and up—throughout the year as a service to our coastal community.
Whether you're a mother, teen, teacher, traveler, or just someone who wants to feel more confident moving through the world, these events are for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
-
Learn the Basics: Our entry-level clinics cover situational awareness, de-escalation tactics, and practical techniques for escaping or defending against larger attackers.
-
No Experience Needed: You don’t need to be “in shape” or have any martial arts background to join.
-
Welcoming & Supportive: This is a safe, empowering space to ask questions, try new things, and learn at your own pace—surrounded by instructors and community members who are here to support you.
-
Build Over Time: Self-defense is a lifelong journey. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, you’re welcome to come learn, practice, and grow with us.
wHY WE DO THIS
We know how powerful it is when women feel strong in their bodies and confident in their boundaries. These clinics are one small way we give back to our community—and invest in a future where everyone feels a little safer, more aware, and more connected.
